Elder Day Stay is a professionally licensed and managed facility designed for older adults who require constant supervision due to their physical or cognitive limitations. It offers structured care from 8:00am-5:30pm every weekday in a warm environment staffed by certified employees with years of experience serving this unique population. Activities are scheduled every day to engage the participants, while ensuring their comfort and safety. Elder Day Stay provides caregivers and families the customized assistance they need to keep their loved one at home rather than face long-term care placement.EDS is centrally located in a separate facility from our main office within the Lake Ella Shopping Plaza. Elder Day Stay provides: Socialization with staff, Senior Companion volunteers, fellow Elder Day Stay clients, and community volunteers. Intellectual stimulation and orientation activities using current events, music, reminiscing, games and cooking. Nutritious lunches and snacks planned by Elder Care Services' Registered Dietician. Exercise — seated stretching, movement, balance and weight bearing exercises. Mobility Assistance as needed with transferring, toileting, along with activities that encourage and maintain independence. Medication management and scheduled hydration breaks for health outcomes.
